One day a week each class comes up to the library (it's on the third floor of the school), where one of the library volunteers reads to the whole class; students then have time to browse the library and select two books to check out of the library for a week.
Students must return their books the next week to the library collection box in their classroom.
If a student forgets to bring back his or her books, the librarian will have to restrict the child's check-out privileges for that week.
Please help your child find a safe place at home to keep the library books. If a book becomes damaged (e.g., pages fall out, a cover gets torn, etc.), please send a note to alert the librarian so that she can fix the book.
